So this weekend I went to the "Colors of the Islands" gala event hosted by the Tim Hardaway Foundation as a fundraiser for those in Haiti. The charity event included a fashion show, a silent auction of things such as  Britto paintings, Tiffany jewelry, and NBA memorabilia, and other performances displaying Haitian culture.
The show started with a traditional Haitian costume display and dance.
Then the fashion show began. All the dresses modeled were being sold and the proceeds donated to the Haitian cause...
These were some of my favorite dresses from the event...

This one being my absolute favorite :)
Unfortunately I think it was auctioning off for around $1,200
Maybe in a couple of years when I've graduated and have a job ;)

After the fashion show there was a pyrotechnic display which was really fun, however Im pretty sure I got too close to the fire in my eagerness to take pictures. Unfortunately most of them came out a bit dark but this was one of the better ones that I took.
I wore a Karta dress I've not seen for a while but which I fortunately came across in the back of my closet, along with a brown clutch from Forever 21, and a gold cuff I found among my mom's jewelry and which I happen to accidentally break this weekend. I'll have to answer for that later.. :/
I went to the event with my friends Ruby and Shireen. Shireen (on the left) is wearing a dress by Black Halo and Ruby (on right) is wearing a long T-bags dress
