It's the end of the semester and I haven't had much time for my blog :( or shopping for that matter but today I made some time.
This is my favorite spring shirt, it's my "go-to spring shirt" so I decided to photograph the outfit...

What I love most about this shirt is that i got it about more than three years ago and i still wear it... which is more than i can say  about a lot of my other things...

i even got a hole in it once and had it patched up, this shirt will never die.

I think i got these shoes about two, three days ago and I'm sure I've worn them to death by now
but that's just the way it is with shoes... you get a new pair and you squeeze and hug and love the shit out of them :)...and then they die :/

(Shirt - i bought this in brazil in a store called "Cantao", Jeans - Rich & Skinny, Shoes - Zara, and the cross necklace i got in a street market in brazil, watch - swatch)

So this weekend I went to the "Colors of the Islands" gala event hosted by the Tim Hardaway Foundation as a fundraiser for those in Haiti. The charity event included a fashion show, a silent auction of things such as  Britto paintings, Tiffany jewelry, and NBA memorabilia, and other performances displaying Haitian culture.
The show started with a traditional Haitian costume display and dance.
Then the fashion show began. All the dresses modeled were being sold and the proceeds donated to the Haitian cause...
These were some of my favorite dresses from the event...

This one being my absolute favorite :)
Unfortunately I think it was auctioning off for around $1,200
Maybe in a couple of years when I've graduated and have a job ;)

After the fashion show there was a pyrotechnic display which was really fun, however Im pretty sure I got too close to the fire in my eagerness to take pictures. Unfortunately most of them came out a bit dark but this was one of the better ones that I took.
I wore a Karta dress I've not seen for a while but which I fortunately came across in the back of my closet, along with a brown clutch from Forever 21, and a gold cuff I found among my mom's jewelry and which I happen to accidentally break this weekend. I'll have to answer for that later.. :/
I went to the event with my friends Ruby and Shireen. Shireen (on the left) is wearing a dress by Black Halo and Ruby (on right) is wearing a long T-bags dress

"In living color"
I'm really enjoying the miami weather now that the sun is out and everything seems greener and lighter than a month ago...
Being thoroughly affected by the levity that the sun has caused in us miamians I've dedicated this post to the bright colors of spring and the the beautiful day's we've been having...
In hopes of reflecting Miami's beautiful weather I've gone and painted my nails a light shade of green and bought this cool duo tone tank top

my yellow dunks really added the extra color that my outfit deserved  :)
